May 20th and 21st, Frans Huigen of DANS attended a workshop that took place at the CODATA headquarters in Paris. There he worked, together with experts in the field of Research Data Management (RDM), knowledge management, educational science, FAIR data, and data literacy, on the terminology of FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable) stewardship skills.

The leading conference on Digital Humanities -the DH2019- takes place in Utrecht this year, from July 8 to July 12.

An extraordinarily rich dataset has recently been added to EASY. The dataset contains an extensive description and detailed drawings and photos of an excavation in Dordrecht. In 1982 a thirteenth century Franciscan friary was excavated and thoroughly documented. The municipality Dordrecht has published a lengthy report.

The international EHRI Conference: Holocaust Studies and its Social Setting is open to registration. This conference will focus on the importance of EHRI’s human network and the public dimension of Holocaust Studies. On Wednesday 3 July the conference will be hosted in Amsterdam.

iPRES 2019 is seeking submissions from software developers and vendors who would like to nominate software for the workflow-specific software category of the Great Digital Preservation Bake-Off, to be held as part of the iPRES 2019 conference at the Eye Filmmuseum in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, on 16 – 20 September.
