The first OpenMR Benelux took place on January 16, an Open Science event for researchers working with Magnetic Resonance (MR) data.

A dataset has been published in EASY with the data from the Social Domain Index 2017 or “quality of life index”. This dataset has been developed as an aid to assess annually to what extent the situation of citizens in the social domain has improved or deteriorated.

On Tuesday, February 19, 2019, there will be an introductory meeting for starting researchers on the use of CBS Microdata. During the meeting insight is provided into the available Microdata, the practical process to work with the data, and the conditions and costs. The event introduces researchers to CBS Microdata in an accessible way.

A set of data from a 40-year-old research project on 18th century orphanages of Leiden has been published in EASY.

Together with the Young Academy of the KNAW, Promovendi Netwerk Nederland and the Horizon 2020 project OpenAIRE, DANS organizes this afternoon about research data management, data archiving and data re-use. The day is specially organized for (young) scientists and data librarians.

The FAIRsFAIR proposal, coordinated by DANS, has been selected by the European Commission and has now entered the stage of contract preparation. The start of the three-year project is 1st of March 2019.
