Europe offers many initiatives for researchers and data professionals to share publications, research data and research data management knowledge. OpenAIRE is one of the examples.

On June 7, the workshop ‘Riding the Next Wave of Research Data, Leveraging the COVID-19 response towards advancing data interoperability’ takes place. Ingrid Dillo, deputy-director of DANS and Co-Chair of the RDA Council, is one of the invited speakers.

Many researchers are still struggling with putting the FAIR data principles in their daily practice. To help them, FAIRsFAIR representatives Joy Davidson (Digital Curation Centre) and Linas Čepinskas (DANS) presented FAIR-Aware at the SSHOC Open Science and Research Data Management Train-the-Trainer Bootcamp.

On April 21, the FAIRsFAIR project organised the first of a series of webinars that aim to support repositories to make the data they manage more FAIR. The webinar, co-organised by DANS, was about persistent identifiers (PIDs) and methods to connect PIDs, the PID Graph.

From 7 to 15 April 2021, both insiders of the FAIRsFAIR project and external stakeholders had the opportunity to immerse themselves in all things FAIR during FAIRsFAIR Week 2021.

The third and final Synchronisation Force workshop series was officially kicked off on April 29th with an opening from Ingrid Dillo, deputy director DANS.
