Recap FAIRsFAIR Week 2021

10 May 2021

From 7 to 15 April 2021, both insiders of the FAIRsFAIR project and external stakeholders had the opportunity to immerse themselves in all things FAIR during FAIRsFAIR Week 2021.

In total, more than 400 participants, mostly from universities and research institutes, from over 50 countries took part in the series of meetings and workshops. An extensive summary with the results of the public activities during FAIRsFAIR 2021 is published online.

The FAIRsFAIR Public Workshop and the FAIRsFAIR Repository Support Workshop were the two public events during this week. They were meant to give external stakeholders and interested parties an idea of how FAIRsFAIR has actively worked on applying the FAIR principles throughout the whole research cycle.

Contribution DANS

DANS was involved in various ways with the FAIRsFAIR Week 2021:

During this workshop, together with Mustapha Mokrane, Research Data Management Specialist at DANS, she chaired panel discussions with external speakers representing different stakeholders in the EOSC ecosystem, from research communities to funders and publishers. Ilona von Stein, Research Data Management Specialist at DANS, spoke about FAIR assessment, metrics & certification during this workshop.

Linas Čepinskas, Research Data Management Specialist at DANS, presented at the FAIRsFAIR Repository Support Workshop on CoreTrustSeal support in the context of FAIR.
