DANS member of the Global Dataverse Community Consortium (GDCC)

Since 2019, DANS has been a member of the Global Dataverse Community Consortium (GDCC). Together with the Institute for Quantitative Social Science (IQSS) at Harvard University and the Odum Institute at the University of North Carolina, DANS was involved in the creation of the consortium, which currently includes more than 30 institutions across five continents.

The open access trend in archaeology has flourished in recent years. Eight years ago, the large archaeological companies such as BAAC, RAAP and ADC were the first to opt for more flexible access rights: 99% of the 100,000 archaeological datasets at DANS are now directly accessible.

The American Chemical Society (ACS) Meetings & Expositions are meeting places for chemistry professionals to exchange ideas and advance scientific and technical knowledge. On April 14, DANS will provide two presentations on FAIR and TRUST for the Division of Chemical information track.

SciDataCon 2021 is part of International Data Week (IDW) 2021, which is organised by the International Science Council’s Committee on Data (CODATA), the World Data System (WDS) and the Research Data Alliance (RDA) from 8 to 11 November 2021. Session proposals for SciDataCon 2021 can be submitted until 30 April 30.
