In collaboration with the Digital Curation Centre and the University of Edinburgh, Research Data Netherlands developed an Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) on Delivering Research Data Management Services (DRDMS). The course is open for enrolment, starting officially on the 2nd of September 2019.

For the past 5 years, Research Data Netherlands (RDNL) has offered the “Essentials 4 Data Support” course, an introductory course for those who (want to) support researchers in storing, managing, archiving and sharing their research data.

Every year throughout the second weekend of September, thousands of monuments open their doors to the public during ‘Open Monumentendag’ (Heritage Day). DANS has many datasets that have to do with monuments.

Would you like to provide input on the DANS services? Panel members provide feedback on existing DANS services such as EASY and NARCIS. Panel members can also submit ideas for new services.

On Wednesday, Augustus, 28 EASY is temporarily unavailable to users due to maintenance work.

Last year, archaeologist and curator at the Dutch National Museum of Antiquities, Luc Amkreutz, together with fellow archaeologist Ivo van Wijk, received a grant for a Small Data Project (KDP). With this financial contribution they digitised original analogue excavation drawings from the 1950s by Professor Modderman.

The REFI-QDA Project has created an exchange standard that has recently been implemented in various QDAS programs. The standard provides an output file format (.qdpx) that enables sustainable and interchangeable archiving of projects.

Recently the text of the Dead Sea scrolls has been open online, including a rich collection of linguistic annotations.
