On Thursday, December 9, there will be another meeting of the Data Stewards Interest Group (DTL DSIG). This time, DANS will host the meeting and the theme will be ‘Trainings surrounding Data Stewardship’.

These workshops are designed as train-the-trainer events to up-skill data stewards. Topics include research data management, FAIR data, Open Science, responsible conduct of research, and pedagogy and training design.

The NPOS has initiated an online open consultation. This consultation aims to give all Dutch stakeholders the opportunity to give input on the NPOS2030 Ambition Document, which forms the first chapters of the new NPOS2030 Programme Description.

The Data Processing team at DANS manages an extensive collection of datasets with municipal data from the Dutch National Census of 1947, stored in EASY. The collection was the subject of a recent article, ‘Detailed Tables from the Dutch Census 1947: Experiences and Lessons Learned in Publishing a Large Dataset’, which appeared in het Research Data Journal for the Humanities and Social Sciences.

On 2 December, Ilona von Stein (DANS) will tell more about the updated Wegwijzer Certificering (Dutch) during the NDE Q&A.

The Business Intelligence team of DANS provides insight into Open Science and the Dutch data landscape through various statistics and charts.

From 7 to 10 June 2022, the 47th annual conference of the International Association for Social Science Information Services and Technology (IASSIST) will be held in Gothenburg, Sweden. Proposals for the conference can be submitted until 7 December 2020.
