Recap WoSSS21

From 6 to 8 October, the WoSSS21 took place. DANS was sponsor and co-organiser of the event. It is now possible to watch the videos of all sessions online.

The Workshop on Sustainable Software Sustainability 2021 (WoSSS21) covered a wide range of topics related to software sustainability. Specific attention was paid to Open Science, digital heritage and supporting software efforts.

Speakers from the US, UK, Europe, Brazil, Australia and Nigeria provided local and international perspectives during the event. The four sessions during WoSSS21 were:

  • Session 1: Sustaining software in cultural heritage
  • Session 2: Open Science & applying the FAIR principles to software
  • Session 3: Human factors and new development in preserving and sustaining research software
  • Session 4: Sustaining the community and promoting (human) infrastructures for software sustainability

DANS & WoSSS

WoSSS wants to represent the state-of-the-art in software sustainability at its biennial event. The founding partners of WoSSS are the Software Sustainability Institute (SSI), the Netherlands eScience Centre and DANS. Together, they are responsible for the organisation and collective funding of the WoSSS workshops.
