iPRES 2019 announces that their Call for Contributions for is now open. iPRES is the premier international conference on the preservation and long term management of digital materials. The 16th International Conference on Digital Preservation will be held on September 16-20, 2019 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

This year’s Dutch Data Prize is awarded to Portable Antiquities of the Netherlands (PAN), BBMRI-omics and OpenINTEL Active DNS Measurements. The prizes were presented on 28 November by NWO President Stan Gielen at a successful event called ‘Celebrating Data! What’s next?’

On Friday 23 November the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) was officially launched, in Vienna, at an event hosted by the Austrian Presidency of the European Union. The inauguration marks the conclusion of a long process of consultation and reflection with stakeholders led by the European Commission.

Visit the DANS open day on open science on February 14, 2019.
