NARCIS publications and datasets can also be found in international services

16 March 2020

Recently, the new service ScienceFinder has been launched, which also uses NARCIS metadata.

The national portal NARCIS provides (open) access to publications and research data which can be found in 50 repositories of universities, KNAW- and NWO-institutes and other research institutions such as the RIVM, KNMI, SURF, etc. The metadata of these publications and datasets, such as title, author name and summary, are used in other, often international, services. Examples include Google Scholar, the international portal OpenAIRE, Microsoft Academic Search, DART-Europe E-theses Portal, and the Australian Research Data Commons (ARDC).

Recently, the new service ScienceFinder has been launched, which also uses NARCIS metadata. ScienceFinder clarifies to business and government partners where relevant knowledge is available within the knowledge institutions, for example in the field of nitrogen, artificial intelligence and water consumption.
