FAIRsFAIR blog online: A dialogue between optimists

2 February 2022

During the Public Event of FAIRsFAIR on 26 January, Ingrid Dillo, Deputy Director at DANS and coordinator of FAIRsFAIR, and William Kilbride, Executive Director at Digital Preservation Coalition, discussed why long-term preservation is important in relation to FAIR. The blog about the debate is now online.

The blog describes the debate that Dillo and Kilbride engaged in during the FAIRsFAIR 2022 Final Event. Among the topics covered are stakeholder engagement, future challenges and what it will take to keep data in the EOSC FAIR in the coming years.

FAIRsFAIR 2022 Final Event

At FAIRsFAIR2022, the project and its stakeholders analysed the impact that FAIRsFAIR has had on the European Research Community. They also went through the tools, guidelines and best practices that FAIRsFAIR have produced and delivered to researchers, data stewards, decision-makers and funders towards a better, more structured approach towards FAIR data management. The FAIRsFAIR project will take the recommendations produced and the lessons learnt and leave them as a legacy for future activities to come.

DANS was the coordinator of FAIRsFAIR, and as one of the core partners is closely involved in most of the project’s work packages.
