DARIAH Annual Event 2022: Open Call for Participation

17 December 2021

It is now possible to submit entries for the DARIAH Annual Event 2022 on the topic of Storytelling. The hybrid event will take place from 31 May to 3 June 2022 in Athens, Greece.

The power of storytelling as a sense-making and knowledge-creation strategy is deeply embedded in human cultures, reaching back as far as our written records, and looking as far forward as our technological imaginations. How we gather, share and use our stories says much about who we are, how we entertain and educate, how we build identities and understand the world beyond our vision, how we relate to our past and to our future.

In the 2022 DARIAH Annual Event, the power of storytelling in the arts and humanities is highlighted. By looking at DARIAH’s research practices and research infrastructures through the lens of storytelling, conceptual bridges between the arts, technology, humanities, and beyond are built.

Open Call for Participation

Researchers, research projects and artists are invited to present (ongoing) work that deals with the topic of Storytelling in a broad sense, in the form of (1) papers, (2) panels and (3) posters and demos. The deadline for submissions is 11 February 2022.
