More and more research data are generated using sensing technologies, such as data from drones, GPS trackers, or sensors on the human body. These sensor data offer new opportunities for research, but also bring their own specific problems and challenges. At the ‘LEF Future Center’ in Utrecht, participants, together with a number of experience experts, will delve deeper into especially the ethical and legal aspects of using data from sensors.

The 9th edition of the Health-RI conference is all about ‘Trusting Forward’. Prepare yourself for a day where trust in (re)using data and in each other is key. During the plenary part they will provide live translation from Dutch to English. A number of break-out sessions will also be offered in English.

Every two years, the Dutch Data Prize is awarded to an individual or team that makes research data FAIR. The FAIR National Roadshow series is visiting the Netherlands! The aim of this event, hosted by RDNL, is to present the FAIR principles in Dutch national and institutional data management policies, as well as promote the outcomes and ongoing work of the FAIR-IMPACT project to the research community, by an interactive day with a keynote, workshops and the awarding of the RDNL Dutch Data Prize.

The fourth edition of the National Open Science Festival will take place on 22 October, with this year Maastricht University and Open Science Community Maastricht hosting the event.

The Centre for Science and Technology Studies (CWTS) and the Centre for Digital Scholarship of the Leiden University Libraries are organising this workshop. It will examine the value of shared data and inform the usability and usefulness of data within and across different communities. They are bringing together data infrastructures, researchers, and data stewards to discuss and brainstorm about key questions related to barriers and drivers for reusing data.
