Wouter Beek wins 2018 WDS Data Stewardship Award

Congratulations to Dr Wouter Beek, who has been chosen by the WDS Scientific Committee (WDS-SC) as the 2018 winner of the WDS Data Stewardship Award.

Dr Beek will be presented with the 2018 Award and a prize at International Data Week 2018.

Wouter Beek is an Artificial Intelligence researcher in the ‘Knowledge, Reasoning and Representation‘ group at VU University Amsterdam, collaborating with DANS (WDS Regular Member). He is co-developer and principle investigator of the LOD Laundromat that has made easily accessible and reusable a collection of over 650 thousand Linked Open Datasets, and that was awarded Best LOD Application of 2015.

A snapshot (better archival package) of the LOD Laundromat is archived with DANS-EASY and DANS currently collaborates with Wouter in the Digging into the Knowledge Graph project.
