Report of the Workshop on Sustainable Software Sustainability 2019 (WOSSS19) published
24 July 2020
At the end of April 2019, DANS, the Software Sustainability Institute (UK) and the Netherlands eScience Center, organized their third workshop on the sustainability of software. The Workshop on Sustainable Software Sustainability focused on everyone who makes, purchases or maintains software, in particular in science and the heritage sector. The report of this workshop was recently published.
The report is mainly a narrative report of the many discussions and presentations during the three-day workshop. In the various sessions, “speed blogs” were written about topics such as: the FAIR principles for software, what to do with “Legacy” software, software as cultural heritage, the do’s and don’ts of software development, quoting software and of course preserving software.
The report is available through Zenodo. If you have any questions, please contact Shoaib Sufi (WOSSS19 editor), or read this blog.
