Every year DANS offers a contribution towards the costs of participating in the Summer Program in Quantitative Methods of Social Research of the ICPSR in the United States. Participants Rik Joosen and Willemijn Bezemer enthusiastically report on their experiences.

Every year, DANS makes a number of scholarships available to research master’s students and PhDs to participate in the ICPSR Summer Program. This year a scholarship was awarded to Rik Joosen, Peter Ejbye-Ernst and Willemijn Bezemer. Read their enthusiastic reports now:

Only research Master’s students and PhDs from institutions participating in the National Membership of the Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR) can submit an application.

Summer Program in Quantitative Methods of Social Research

The Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR) organizes a Summer Program in Quantitative Methods of Social Research every year. This summer school is a world leader in courses in the field of quantitative methods of social science research. Students and researchers from different disciplines and more than forty different countries follow courses every summer in a wide range of advanced statistical techniques. By awarding a subsidy to a number of participants in this summer school, DANS hopes to stimulate high-quality social science research and to emphasize the importance of data sharing.
