KNOWeSCAPE organizes conference From Data to Knowledge

The yearly conference of the European Network KNOWeSCAPE will be held from 7 till 9 October. The theme of this third conference is ‘From Data to Knowledge – Measuring, Predicting and Visualizing Science’.

The organizers are very pleased to welcome Dr. Eugene Garfield as a special guest to the conference. Dr. Garfield is the inventor of the principle of citation indexing and founder of the Institute for Scientific Information (ISI), on which legacy services of Thompson Reuter (Web of Knowledge) build.

KNOWeSCAPE is a COST Action, devoted to the analysis and visualisation of large information space. The community describes information spaces such as Wikipedia, WorldCat, National library catelogues, the content of digital repositories and archives, or scholarly databases as the Web of Knowledge by means of complexity theory.
