Extensive interview with Henk Wals for ResearchProfessional News

23 June 2020

Director DANS Henk Wals talks about the importance of the public exchange of scientific data.

“The public exchange of scientific data will only proceed if scientists are encouraged and valued for it”, says Henk Wals, director of the DANS institute. “Thanks to the open science movement, 60% of the publications of scientists in the Netherlands are now publicly available. However, the percentage of openly accessible scientific datasets seems to be much lower.”

In the interview for ResearchProfessional News, Henk Wals provides his vision on the moving data landscape and the position of DANS in it.
