Extensive guidance for CoreTrustSeal now available

15 December 2017

Extended guidance for the new certification for data repositories, CoreTrustSeal (CTS), has recently become available.

The CoreTrustSeal Data Repositories Requirements include 16 guidelines that data archives must meet in order to qualify for CoreTrustSeal certification and the associated status of Trustworthy Digital Repository (TDR).

During webinars in June and September, stakeholders from the DSA and WDS communities (from which CTS originates) were invited to provide feedback on the new extended guidance. At the same time, the webinars offered an opportunity to those who currently—or who in the future will— renew their application or perform application reviews to see what certification according to the Core Trustworthy Data Repositories Requirements is all about.

More information

The extended guidance and recording of the webinar are available at the CoreTrustSeal website. DANS contributes to the development of CoreTrustSeal and is represented in the CTS Board by Ingrid Dillo and Lisa de Leeuw.
