DANS inspires Indonesia’s first national data repository

19 November 2019

Indonesia’s first national data repository is inspired by DANS. Scholars have proposed research data repositories where researchers can share data openly. These data pools allow researchers to verify and reproduce the results of published studies.

In August 2019, the government launched the National Scientific Repository (RIN) to become a national-level repository that aggregates research data from various sources. It originates from the lack of shared data and the need for transparency in scientific research.

On Tuesday November 19, an Indonesian delegation visited DANS, to discuss the possibilities of Research Data Management.
