AVA_Net launches new knowledge platform

18 July 2019

AVA_Net is the network organization for audiovisual collection holders in the Netherlands. The network strengthens the position of the audiovisual heritage and offers a (knowledge) platform. This June AVA_Net launched a new AV library.

The new AV library is now even more accessible and contains numerous publications about AV archiving, from both the Dutch (AV) heritage domain and internationally. The knowledge and information is aimed at administrators, archivists, policy staff and technical staff of audiovisual collection management institutions such as archives, museums, broadcasters and other cultural bodies. It also serves as a source of knowledge for students, researchers and interested lay people.

Would you like to contribute and do you have suggestions for publications? AVA_Net is always looking for interesting publications with which they can enrich the knowledge base. In addition, they search for the category “selections” for AV professionals who like to write an article about a certain subject in the field of AV archiving. In the article you can also refer to a number of publications that you find interesting and that you think are interesting for the community. This article will then be added to your knowledge base under your name.
