How do you specify an informed consent form that allows reuse? What access level should you select for the data? Which file formats facilitate reuse? How do I choose de-identification techniques to best balance reusability and data loss? How can researchers and data support staff work together at all different stages to foster the best reusability possible? You will be familiar with useful tools and examples and be able to discuss and evaluate the complexities of qualitative data in practice. The main focus of this workshop will be on interview data. Do you have a project or qualitative dataset that you have worked with? Make sure you bring it along with you!
This session is given by DANS’ers Ricarda Braukmann & Maaike Verburg and is including lunch.
About DCC Spring Training Days
The Digital Competence Center (DCC) Implementation Network and partners would like to invite participants to the 2024 DCC Spring Training Days. The DCC Spring Training Days are a national collaboration on training and workshops mainly aimed at starting research data stewards and starting researchers. In nine interactive sessions in April, May, June and September 2024, several topics related to Research Data and Software Management and Open Science will be covered. For each session they can accept 35 participants. One can register for one session, or for more. The Training Days are designed for people (relatively) new to RDM & RSM and Open Science, and will be held in person in Utrecht at SURF (except on the 13th of June than in de Witte Vosch, Utrecht), and are offered all in English. Participation is free of charge.
