Besides the domain-specific Data Stations, DANS also provides the institution repository DataverseNL, for storing, sharing and publishing data of research institutions. For this service, DANS manages the technical infrastructure, and institutions using DataverseNL can set up their own repository within it. They themselves are responsible for managing and curating the data and can grant differentiated rights to their users. As of 1 January, nine universities, three university medical centres, seven universities of applied sciences, two research institutes and one government department are using DataverseNL.
For our DataverseNL service, we use the open source Dataverse software, developed by Harvard University. There is a global community that contributes to the continuous development of this software. More information about our DataverseNL service can be found here.
Is your institution looking for a repository for publishing research data, please contact Marion Wittenberg, our service manager DataverseNL by using the form below. If you are a researcher and would like to publish data in DataverseNL, please contact your institution.
