The aforementioned three organisations offer specific plans to support the goals of Plan S. It is advised to implement The San Francisco Declaration on Research Assessment (sfDORA) in Plan S, amongst other things.
Plan S is an initiative of cOAlition S, launched by the European Research Council (ERC). This plan aspires to fully shift to Open Access of all scientific publications that have been produced by public means, from 2020 onwards.
