The workshop is organized by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) on behalf of the Portuguese Presidency of the European Union, together with the European Commission and the Portuguese Agency for Clinical Research and Biomedical Innovation (AICIB).
Ingrid Dillo, recently re-elected for another three years as Co-Chair of the RDA, will inform the participants about the RDA’s international contribution to data interoperability, including development of community-driven standards and guidelines for data sharing and management. Dillo: “As Co-Chair of the RDA Council, and deputy-director of DANS, I underline the importance of interdisciplinary research and re-use of data collected in various research fields, especially data from social sciences, in order to overcome global challenges like COVID-19 together.” The session ends with a panel discussion for all participants, including the speakers.
