FIDELIS aims to establish a network of healthy, vibrant and self-sustaining network of Trustworthy Digital Repositories (TDRs) t that will foster a supportive open science environment and guarantee FAIR data sharing, now and in the future. To support this mission, they’re introducing a mentoring and peer-to-peer support programme.
The open call for the mentoring and peer-to-peer support programme was released on 27 February. Through this call, FIDELIS selects external mentors to collaborate on designing a support programme for peer mentees. FIDELIS’s co-developed support programmes facilitate mentoring and peer-to-peer knowledge exchange to support skills development and foster collaborative approaches to tackle common challenges of the repository community.
The open call includes five different topic areas:
1: Trustworthy at national and international levels
2: Data curation, access and preservation policies
3: Fostering engagement between repositories and end users
4: Active Data Curation for technical repository staff
5: Training approaches for repository staff and end users
Mentors will receive financial support, training to improve their mentoring skills, support from FIDELIS mentors in developing and delivering the support programme, and peer exchange with the other mentors. All information about the timeline and expectations is available on the website.
Mentees can express their interest in the different topic areas. By expressing their interest, they may be selected to participate in the support programme(s) once they have been designed.
The call remains open until 30 April 2026.
