RDF/XML
RDF/XML was the first official serialization format for RDF, designed by the W3C to provide a machine-readable way of representing RDF data. It was developed in 1999 when RDF itself was being developed as a foundational standard for the Semantic Web. The W3C still maintains RDF/XML as part of its RDF specifications.
The syntax expresses an RDF graph as an XML document, making it compatible with other XML technologies. Its verbosity and complexity makes it more challenging for humans to read compared to formats like Turtle.
RDF/XML is sometimes referred to simply by RDF, but keep in mind that this term refers to the data model in general, not any specific serialization.
RDF/XML is a preferred serialization for RDF data.
