On 18 November 2020 the Dutch Data Prize, embedded in the partner event Together We Share, was awarded for the 6th time by Research Data Netherlands (RDNL). The Data Prize recognises a researcher or research group who makes extra contributions to science by making research data available for (additional) research.Out of 44 entries, three Dutch Data prize winners and three winners of the new Incentive Prize were chosen.

- Category medical and life sciences: CoronaWatchNL, Jonathan de Bruin and CoronaWatchNL community, University of Utrecht

- Category exact and technical sciences: The Orchid Flowers dataset, Diah H. Apriyanti, Datamanagement & Biometrics Group, Faculty of EEMCS, University of Twente
- Category medical and life sciences: SPI-BIRDS, Marcel Visser and Antica Culina, Netherlands Institute of Ecology NIOO-KNAW
On behalf of RDNL, chairman of the jury Prof. Dr. Karel Luyben (Rector Magnificus Emeritus and National Coordinator Open Science) awarded the winners with a Data Prize 2020-sculpture and € 5.000 and Incentive Prize winners € 1.000 to make the dataset (more) accessible.
