Research into data reuse
Sustainably storing data and making them findable is an essential first step towards data reuse. However, effective reuse requires more. High-quality documentation and clear contextual information are essential to make data findable and to enable correct interpretation of the data.
We invite our depositors to tell us more about the reuse potential of their datasets. For what purposes can your data be used? What prior knowledge or skills are required to properly understand the data? And what considerations or limitations should be taken into account when reusing your data?
Your dataset in the spotlight
We use this information to create inspiring news articles about the unique and valuable datasets available through DANS. Your contribution increases the visibility and impact of your data. It can inspire otherresearchers to share their data in line with the FAIR principles and encourage the active reuse of data for new research. In doing so, it supports collaboration and knowledge development.
