About RDA TIGER
RDA TIGER is a Horizon Europe (HE) -funded project that aims to increase the impact of RDA Working Groups (WGs), by providing services that support and facilitate their work. To this end, the Output Support work package (WP4) led by DANS has developed a set of software tools and supporting guidance materials, known collectively as the Knowledge Base.
Purpose
The Knowledge Base helps RDA users manage and publish their outputs and the processes that create them, by focusing on two broad focus areas:
- Ensuring that RDA outputs (recommendations, support materials, and related outputs) are properly curated and preserved, and that they are adequately tagged and characterised to improve their future findability and reuse; and
- Providing mechanisms for describing and persisting the effort that goes into landscape assessments and desk research during especially working group activities, effectively also turning these efforts into reusable and easily findable digital resources.
Main audience
Although primarily directed at RDA members and Working Groups, the Knowledge Base is useful for anyone working with RDA (related) activities or outputs, and includes four main components:
- The RDA Graph: a comprehensive database of RDA-related data
- RDA Discovery: help materials and search tools, dashboard, for browsing data from the RDA Graph
- RDA Annotator: a tool for the annotation of web-based resources using RDA vocabularies
- RDA Publisher: a tool for publishing RDA-related resources using RDA-related vocabularies and tags
