Since the exhibit is a global effort – featuring the work and insights from map and macroscope makers from around the world, which have been on display at over 466 venues in 30 countries on 6 continents – experts and others from around the globe are invited for this celebration on September 20. Speakers from institutions around the world, such as DANS, will join us online to reflect on the future of science and technology and interactive visualisations of relevant data.
Macroscopes are well suited to addressing global challenges They can provide a planetary perspective, showcasing large and complex data sets. To flourish in the future, we must recognise that all fates are connected. Macroscopes with a global perspective can reinforce this point of view and help us chart a path into the future.
This will be a hybrid event celebrating the global nature of macroscope tools, with components taking place at IU’s McCalla Building in the Multipurpose Room (525 N Indiana Ave, Bloomington, IN 47408) and via webinar. It will take place on Friday, September 20, 10 am – noon Eastern Daylight Time (4 -6 pm CEST).
No need to register or rsvp in advance. Read more on the event and join the webinar via the website.
