VIVO is a semantic web project that is also known as the ‘Facebook for scientists’. It focuses on developing an ontology for both the input side (manpower, expenses, projects) and the scientific output (publications, patents, etc.). Linking VIVO ontologies to NARCIS enables the integration of Dutch research information in the developing network of global scientific research.
