However, sometimes you are required to log in before you can use the data.<\/p>\n<p>Depositing in the DANS Data Stations is free of charge up to 50 GB per account. The rate for depositing larger files is determined by a number of factors. Among those factors are the specific needs and requirements attached to the deposit. Examples are: data types, file formats, storage terms, and whether backups are needed. Other factors that come into play are the bare data storage costs and any fees charged for archiving and consulting. Pricing also depends on whether a framework agreement with DANS is in place. Such an agreement sets out among many other things, the conditions for data submission.
