Open Science<\/h2>\n

The Open Science movement aims to make<\/span> scientific research (including publications, data, physical samples, and software) and its disseminations accessible to all levels of society, amateur or professional. This is done through a combination of changing research practices, digital tools and increased interoperability between research infrastructures.
The Open Science movement works to improve the transparency, reproducibility and reusability of research, and to establish a just, open and equitable research landscape that is accessible to all.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Open Science is important to DANS because we believe that everyone should have access to research and its underlying data, regardless of where they are based. Open Science drives our commitment to quality research data management and enhanced transparency and interoperability.<\/p>\n

DANS strongly supports the work of the European Union\u2019s Open Science policy<\/a> and the efforts to establish the European Open Science Cloud<\/a> (EOSC). It also endorses the UNESCO Open Science<\/a> recommendations.<\/p>\n

Here at DANS we run regular training events on Open Science through our engagement in projects such as EOSC Future<\/a> and PATTERN<\/a>, as well as our collaboration with Research Data Netherlands<\/a> (RDNL) and the Nationaal Programma Open Science<\/a> (NPOS).<\/p>\n

In the meantime, you can find out more about Open Science by engaging with the FOSTER<\/a> Open Science training platform that has lots of resources on the different topics within the Open Science movement.<\/p>\n
