Blog sustainable data integration Yad Vashem’s database in EHRI portal

After six months of preparation, the sustainable metadata integration into the EHRI portal was successfully completed. The current integration of the collection descriptions from Yad Vashem’s archive added new and updated descriptions to the EHRI portal using ResourceSync technology and a tool for this created by DANS. The blog describes their journey to a sustainable infrastructure for publishing collection descriptions.

The Best Digital Humanities Idea of the Netherlands

On the 17th of June, the last day of the seminar Digital Humanities & Archives, 17 participants joined in on “The Best Digital Humanities Idea of the Netherlands”. Jerry de Vries, information specialist at DANS, participated and became the runner-up at the event which was held at the International Institute of Social History (IISG) in Amsterdam.
