DARIAH Virtual Annual Event 2021 announced

1 March 2021

The annual event of DARIAH (Digital Research Infrastructure for the Arts and Humanities) will take place on 7-9 September 2021. This year the event aims to discuss the role of digital interfaces in the arts and humanities.

It is the aim of this year’s DARIAH Annual Event to discuss the role that interfaces play in the arts and humanities. To what extent do they enable new research, and at the same time, do they also limit research possibilities? How is content/information changed while being transmitted by interfaces? How do interfaces reframe the roles of those using them, their roles as producer and/or consumer of interfaces?

DARIAH is a European Research Infrastructure for the Humanities and Arts. Its mission is to empower scholarly communities with digital methods to create, connect and share knowledge about culture and society. The DARIAH Annual Event offers the DARIAH community and humanities scholars in general the possibility to present results and new ideas; to meet and network.

Call for participation

Researchers and research projects are invited to present work (completed or in progress) that addresses the topic of interfaces in a broad sense. Papers, posters and demos can be submitted until 18 April. Submissions accepted for participation will be announced mid-May.
