The Research Data Alliance is a global community-driven initiative with a goal to build the social and technical infrastructure to enable open data sharing and re-use. With over 12,000 members from 145 countries, RDA provides a neutral space where its data experts can come together to develop and adopt this. DANS is an organizational member of RDA and is involved in numerous initiatives of the organisation. Ingrid Dillo, deputy director of DANS, is co-chair of the RDA Council.
