CLIO-INFRA

Consolidating information about the development of the global economy

Status: Completed
Duration: 2011 - 2014
Contact:

CLIO-INFRA wants to map out the available quantitative information on the development of the global economy over the past five-hundred years. This creates a solid basis for investigating the causes of inequality and economic and social development theories on a global level. The data files will be made available via internet (open access). CLIO-INFRA is embedded in the European Commission’s Digital Research Infrastructure for the Arts and Humanities (DARIAH) initiative. DARIAH is included in both the ESFRI Roadmap, and the Nederlandse Roadmap Grootschalige Onderzoeksfaciliteiten (Dutch National Roadmap for Large-scale Research Facilities). DANS is involved in this project, together with IISG, Universiteit Utrecht, Universiteit van Debrecen, Universiteit Tübingen and Universiteit Groningen.
