Research and Innovation

The Research and Innovation group inside of DANS conducts research to support the innovation of DANS services. For instance, members of the group follow socio-technological developments around Digital Archiving and develop proof-of-concept solutions for data curators and research communities. They also conduct science-of-science research around data sharing practices, archival collections and the dynamics of research infrastructures.

The current research programme of the group can be found here. Most of the R&I work is funded externally. DANS hosts one of the offices for coordination of the DARIAH ERIC. The scientific output of all of DANS can be found here

The contact person for the department of Research and Innovation is Andrea Scharnhorst.
