At DANS, there are no fixed prices for depositing data. Rates are determined by several factors.

Among those factors are the specific needs and requirements attached to the deposit. Examples are: data types, file formats, storage terms, and whether backups are needed. Other factors that come into play are the bare data storage costs and any fees charged for archiving and consulting.

Pricing also depends on whether a framework agreement with DANS is in place. Such an agreement sets out among many other things, the conditions for data submission. For example, prices of automatic ingest differ from those of manual deposits.

Download of data is free of charge. Before using data, sometimes a log in is required.
